Year One Homework Page
Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts who attended our tea party. We hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. There were some great performances from our Year 1 children.
What we have done this week
In Maths we have been using our reasoning skills to solve addition and subtraction problems. In English we have innovated the story 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' by changing the animal and the visitors. The children created a story map and wrote the beginning of their story.
There will not be a spelling test next week, but please continue to practise the words that your children find tricky!
Children have brought home a nature detectives sheet. Please go out with your children during the summer break and see if you can identify
some of the leaves.
SPORTS AFTERNOON Wednesday 19TH JULY
Due to the poor weather last week, we had to postpone our sports afternoon.
Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school as they will be taking part in a sports afternoon on Wednesday. The children will need to wear their house colour T-shirt.
Enjoy the Wimbeldon final, if you are a tennis fan,
