It has been such a lovely start to Year 1, and we are incredibly proud of how well the children have come into school and are settling into the Year 1 routine. It was also lovely to hear all about the exciting things they got up to during the summer holidays and to see them share their stories and experiences with one another.

We are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and making lots of happy memories together!

Reading- The children will be given their reading diary and books on Friday 11th September. 

Reading books will be changed every Friday. Please ensure that your child's books and reading diary are in their bag in order for the books to be changed. Please also remember to sign the reading diary once they have read their books. If the diary is not signed, the books will not be changed.

Homework-The children will be given their homework on a Friday, and it should be handed in by the following Wednesday, unless an alternative date has been provided.

For homework this week, we would like the children to practise writing their name on the piece of card provided, using the correct letter formation. Please encourage them to use a capital letter only at the beginning of their name, with lowercase letters for the remaining letters.  They can decorate their name card creatively and make it their own. 

PE days-The children need to come into school dressed in their PE kits on the following days:
